Daniel Guéguen, executive chairman at the ETI, says that although lobbying in Brussels „has become part of the EU’s institutional life“, there are still myths and lobbying in general has a negative image.
Lobbyists are numerous in Brussels but „the number needs to be considered carefully“ and the same applies to the lobbyists’ influence, according to the ETI.
The ETI observes that „weak political powers (…) go hand in hand with weak lobbies“. Yet, lobbyists are there „to provide solutions“.
