Summer Seminar

30th - 31st August 2012, Berlin

Currently the European Commission along with the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union work on the EU Cohesion Policy for the new programming period 2014 - 2020. The Commission proposes further expand and strengthened use of financial instruments as well as several simplifying and more coherent solutions.

In this summer seminar the participants will have the opportunity to get an overview to the current challenges that EU funds experts will face in the coming months.

The lecturers, Prof. Dr. Hendrik Fehr, Former Presidency Director Liaison Officer, European Court of Auditors, Luxembourg and Mr. Louis Vervloet, Director General, Flemish ESF Agency, Belgium will discuss with the participants on the following key topics:

>>>   Key elements of EU Funding Policies
>>>   Current challenges within EU Funds
>>>   How to develop and manage strategies for programme management procedures
>>>   How to write an Operational Programme
>>>   Most efficient monitoring, evaluation and annual reporting procedures
>>>   New approaches in the maze of the programme management and networking with partners from all over Europe
>>>   Main challenges of the programming period 2014-2020
